  3. Acumulation tank of treated water.

AQUALOOP MEM Field system waste water treatment plant AT-Salzburg

The technology behind the MEM / AQUALOOP systems comes directly from RHV Salzburg, the municipal waste water treatment plant for Salzburg and surrounding areas, in Siggerwiesen. The municipal waste water treatment plant operates using state-of-the-art technology and is a full biological waste water treatment plant with a capacity to handle the output from 680,000 inhabitants. The plant provides an ideal infrastructure for pilot tests to optimize membrane bioreactors and for executing other kinds of filtration experiments. An accredited central laboratory is located on site which provides data analysis of untreated and purified water in accordance with ÖNORM (ecological standards).

Two membrane process lines work in parallel with a partial flow of up to 10 m³/day. The tests run throughout the year. The pilot plants are equipped with modern apparatus as well as measurement technologies and operate fully automatically with SCADA and online data collection. The interpretation of data and access to control can also be done via UMTS.
